Liquidation Order Entered for Bankers Life Insurance Company (BLIC) & Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company (CBLIC)

The Receivership Court entered a Liquidation Order against BLIC and CBLIC that states that it becomes effective on the first month-end occurring 90 days after all North Carolina appeals have been resolved. As of August 23, 2024, the appeals have been resolved. The Liquidation Order therefore becomes effective on November 30, 2024

Notice Re Operation of Life and Health Insurance Protection Association (“Association”) in Light of COVID-19

The Association is fully prepared to continue all operations. The Association’s physical office is closed. All staff are working remotely and have full capability to handle inquiries. Senior Health Insurance Company of Pennsylvania (SHIP) Placed in Rehabilitation

On January 29, 2020, Senior Health Insurance Company of Pennsylvania (SHIP) was placed in rehabilitation by the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Liquidation Orders Entered for Penn Treaty & American Network Insurance Companies

On March 1, 2017, Penn Treaty Network America Insurance Company (Penn Treaty) and its wholly owned subsidiary, American Network Insurance Company (ANIC), were placed in liquidation by orders of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
